GET ENOUGH SLEEP

This one might be hard sometimes especially if you are in university or work multiple jobs but it is so important.  Limit your partying and get a good night sleep, trust me, it’s worth it.

TAKE AN ONLINE CLASS

There are so many options to take online class these days so take full advantage of this opportunity.  Check out site like Udemy  or  Skillshare.

EAT HEALTHY

What you put into your body is one of the few things you have full control over in your life.  Eat your greens, fruits, and stick to whole foods as your primary source of fuel. Not only will this make you feel better in your twenties but this will also help you stay healthy longer.

GET ACTIVE

If you have a perfectly healthy and able body why not use it?  Exercise will make you look great and feel great so engage in some form of exercise daily.  This can be as simple as going for a walk.  Choose some form of physical activity that you love and start incorporating it consistently.

STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Do you remember the last time that you felt even the slightest bit uncomfortable? If you don’t that means you should start taking more risks. Now, this does not mean engaging in risky behaviour that could potentially harm you or others around you.  This simply means stepping outside of your comfort zone so you can grow as a person.

LISTEN TO PODCASTS

There are so many podcasts now a days on all kinds of topics but there is one thing all podcasts have in common.  There are full of advice!  You are always able to take some sort of message away from a podcast no matter the subject.  Podcasts are also super easy to incorporate into your day because you can listen to them in the car, when you go for a walk, on your lunch break, really — the options are endless for these wonderful creations.

SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS

These are the people who matter at the end of the day.  Their opinions and advice are going to help you glide through life so keep them close.  Every chance you get spend time with your loved ones even if it is simply going out for coffee with a friends or going to your parents house for dinner.  Any amount of time spent with them is time well spent.

MAKE NEW FRIENDS

It can be really scary to put yourself out there and make new friends but I assure you it is totally worth it.  In your twenties you have plenty of opportunities to meet new people so get to know them.  A lot of these people will end up being life long friends so do not be afraid to meet new people.

READ MORE OFTEN

In today’s day and age it is common to turn to video content for advice or entertainment.  Although video is a great way to learn; reading books, articles, and other written work helps inspire you and keeps your creative juices flowing. Talk to any big name entrepreneur or “overnight” success, they will all tell you to start reading more.  If this is such a common theme then we really must start jumping on this bandwagon.

DON’T PASS UP OPPORTUNITIES

Sometime opportunities only come around once so it is important to be prepared and jump on them the minute they come.  This can be scary and difficult to do at times but trust me, opportunities present themselves when you are ready so just have a little faith the universe is doing you a favour.

PRACTICE GRATITUDE

There are so many things to be grateful for in life.  Keeping a gratitude journal and writing down what you are grateful for is an excellent habit to get into.  There are a variety of sources out there that tell you to practice gratitude the minute you wake up in the morning.  This is wonderful advice as it sets the tone for your day but remember to practice gratitude throughout the day.  From morning to night. Like I said, there are so many things to be grateful for in life.

DEVOTE TIME TO WORKING ON YOUR DREAMS

Admit it. You have dreams.  You might be too scared to work towards them right now but there is no better time to be working towards them.  Create yourself a schedule and plan when you are going to be working on accomplishing these dreams.  This is something you will not regret.

DEVELOP GOOD HABITS

Our days revolve around habits we have, hence why developing good habits is important.  Develop habits that will help make you more productive, that will make your day better, habits that will transform your life.  Make these little changes priorities and eventually they will turn into habits.

PRACTICE GOAL SETTING

I never realized how important this was until I started implementing it and saw the difference it was making in my life.  Goal setting is something you do at various stages in your life but daily goal setting is an excellent practice to start. When you get good at setting attainable, realistic goals you will start to see them become reality.

MEDITATE AND VISUALIZE

These are two very powerful practices.  Meditation keeps your mind in check, clears your mind, and strengthens your mind.  Visualization allows you to see the future and manifest it to become reality.  When used in conjunction with one another you will start to see no boundaries.

GET RID OF TOXIC FRIENDS

Some people are just not meant to be in your life.  If you have friends who bring negativity to your life it is time to re-evaluate why they are in your life. If they are adding zero value to your life it might be best to go your separate ways.  Instead, surround yourself with people who bring you up and support you in all areas of life.

MANAGE YOUR TIME

We can all get more done if we have more time, right? Well, the thing is everyone has the same amount of time in the day.  When you learn how to manage your time you will be able to accomplish everything that you set out to.  You will be able to make more time for friend and family and more time to just live life unapologetically.

INVEST YOUR MONEY AND EDUCATION

Investing your money in your twenties is pretty common. Try investing in shares or social media to make a few bucks.  Also, invest your education into projects you believe in.  When you have the chance to share knowledge you have with someone else you are doing the world a favour so share, share, share.

LIVE IN THE MOMENT

It can be easy to get caught up in the chaos of life but every so often take a step back and live in the moment.  Sometimes you gain more from random events in life then you do from any planned situation.

BE KIND TO YOURSELF

If you are striving to accomplish goals and build your dream life like most twenty somethings are you are probably really hard on yourself. Although this can help push you in the right direction it is also important to remember to be kind to yourself.  Cut yourself some slack. Life is tricky and no one is perfect.. but YOU are doing amazing!
